In-Person Porch Market

Centreville Front Porch Market operates as a self-serve, honour-system market during posted seasonal hours.

All items are sold at the prices marked, and payment is required at the time of purchase. We accept cash and e-transfer. E-transfers must be sent at the time items are picked up from the stand. A guest Wi-Fi network is available for customers who need internet access to complete an e-transfer.

The market and transaction area are monitored by CCTV cameras.

If you need assistance while visiting the market or experience an issue with an item or payment, please ring the doorbell.

Online Ordering & Pickup

In-Stock Orders

In-stock items may be ordered online for pickup at Centreville Front Porch Market. Please allow a minimum of 3 hours for your order to be prepared. You will receive confirmation when your order is ready for pickup.

Please do not arrive to collect your order until you have received your pickup confirmation.

Online orders are currently available for local pickup only. Local delivery and shipping options are planned for a later date.

Fresh Produce & Seasonal Products

Fresh produce, flowers, and other garden products are seasonal and subject to availability.

Produce orders must be picked up by the end of the following day, unless other arrangements have been made with us in advance.

We cannot guarantee the quality or freshness of produce that is not picked up within the pickup window. Orders containing fresh produce that have not been picked up by the deadline may be cancelled and the produce returned to inventory, donated, or otherwise redistributed.

Because fresh produce has been reserved specifically for your order, refunds are not available for produce that is not picked up within the stated pickup window.

Produce, plants, flowers, and other garden products are seasonal and subject to availability. Growing conditions, weather, pests, harvest timing, and other factors outside of our control may affect availability.

Fresh produce and other naturally grown products may vary in size, shape, colour, and weight. Where an item is sold by an approximate weight, bunch, container, or other quantity, some natural variation should be expected. We make reasonable efforts to ensure customers receive at least the quantity described in the product listing.

Missed Pickups

We understand that plans can change. If you know you will be unable to pick up your order on time, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable changes when possible.

Perishable items cannot be held indefinitely, and refunds are not available for orders that are not picked up within the applicable pickup period without prior arrangements.

Baked Goods & Preorders

Baked goods may be available for preorder, with a limited selection also available for purchase directly from the market while supplies last.

Baked goods may be preordered for Saturday pickup only. Orders must be placed by 12:00 PM Thursday. After the Thursday noon cutoff, preorders will close for that week and reopen the following Monday for the next Saturday pickup.

Preordered baked goods will be available for pickup at Centreville Front Porch Market on Saturday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Preordered items are reserved for your order and should be picked up during this pickup window. Pickup instructions will be provided with your order confirmation.

If you are unable to pick up your order on Saturday, please contact us as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements. Baked goods that are not picked up as scheduled and for which no alternate arrangements have been made are not eligible for a refund.

If market hours or pickup arrangements need to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, customers with preorders will be contacted with updated pickup instructions.

Allergies & Ingredients

Ingredient and allergen information is provided on our website and on product packaging. Customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions should review this information carefully before purchasing or consuming our products.

Our baked goods are prepared in a home kitchen in accordance with Nova Scotia guidelines for the preparation of low-risk baked goods. Cee Machry holds a current Food Handler Certificate from a food safety training course recognized by the Province of Nova Scotia.

Our kitchen is not an allergen-free facility. While care is taken during food preparation, we cannot guarantee that products have not come into contact with allergens.

If you have questions about the ingredients or allergens in a particular product, please contact us before placing your order.

Cancellations, Refunds & Order Changes

If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Baked-goods preorders may be cancelled or changed before the Thursday 12:00 PM order cutoff. After the order cutoff, baked-goods preorders are considered final and may not be cancelled or refunded.

Fresh produce and live plant orders may be cancelled or changed before the order has been prepared for pickup. Once an order has been prepared and you have been notified that it is ready, cancellations and refunds are not available for fresh produce or live plants.

If Centreville Front Porch Market is unable to fulfill an item you have ordered, we will contact you. We will not substitute another product or variety without your approval. You will be offered an appropriate substitution, where available, or a refund for the unavailable item.

If there is a problem with the quality of an item, including fresh produce or a live plant, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us promptly so that we can address the issue.

Books, Gifts & Non-Perishable Items

Books, gift items, and other non-perishable merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase, provided they are unused, unopened where applicable, and in their original condition and packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

For health and safety reasons, personal-care, bath and body, and other products intended for personal use cannot be returned once opened or used, unless the product is defective.

Clearance and items specifically marked as final sale are not eligible for return or exchange.

If an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect at the time of purchase or pickup, please contact us promptly so that we can address the issue.

Plants, Seedlings & Seeds

Plants, seedlings, and seeds are seasonal and subject to availability.

We take reasonable care to ensure plants and seedlings are healthy at the time of sale. Once a plant or seedling has been picked up, its continued health and survival depend on factors outside of our control, including planting, watering, weather, soil conditions, pests, and ongoing care. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the continued health or survival of plants or seedlings after they leave the market.

Seeds are packaged and stored with care; however, germination and growing success depend on factors outside of our control, including storage, planting conditions, temperature, moisture, soil conditions, and ongoing care. For this reason, we cannot guarantee germination rates or growing success.

If you believe there was a problem with a plant, seedling, or seed product at the time of purchase, please contact us promptly.

Flowers & Bouquets

Flowers and foliage used in our bouquets and floral products are grown and harvested on our property in Centreville. We do not use chemical pesticides or herbicides on our cut flowers.

We make an effort to select flowers and foliage that are considered safe for households with children and pets. If a flower or plant included in a product is known to present a potential concern if handled or ingested by children or pets, this information will be clearly identified in the product description and on the product label.

As with any plant material, flowers and foliage are not intended for consumption unless specifically identified as edible.

Payment & Pricing

Prices displayed on our website are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, where required, will be shown at checkout.

Prices are subject to change. Where possible, notice of upcoming price changes will be provided. Any price changes will apply to future purchases and will not affect orders that have already been placed and paid for.

Payment for online orders is due at the time the order is placed unless otherwise indicated.
